Holosun P.ID Weaponlight w. Green Laser, 900 lm

Need a powerful weapon light for your pistol? In addition to its 900 lumen light, the Holosun P.ID Plus features a green laser. The P.ID Plus fits many full-sized and slightly smaller handguns with a rail. This weapon light comes with a rechargeable battery, which can be charged via the connector on the flashlight body. The battery can also be replaced without removing the light from the firearm.

Which holster does this fit in? The word is that Glock 17 with this flashlight would fit in Safariland's SureFire X300 or Streamlight TLR-1 compatible holsters, but we don’t have it tested yet. The best fit would probably be achieved with a Kydex holster custom-made for your specific gun-light combination.

Switch Operation

The switches are the same on both sides. The larger switch controls the light, and the smaller one controls the laser. The light and laser can be used continuously or momentarily – holding the switch down is for momentary use, and the light turns off when released. The light and laser can be set to constant mode with a short press.

You can operate the light and laser separately using their own switches. If you want both the light and laser to activate from all switches simultaneously, hold down the laser switches until the mode changes. The mode remains the same until you manually change it.

If you prefer a dimmer mode (450 lm) in the flashlight, hold down both larger switches until the mode changes. The dimmer mode remains active until you switch it back to the brighter mode. Dimming does not affect the laser.

To prevent accidental activation, you can also enable the button lockout feature. This is done by tapping the larger switch three times. The light turns on momentarily and then off. To disable the button lockout, tap three times again – this turns on the light in the mode where the button lockout was activated. Enabling the button lockout turns off the light if it's on.

Installation

The light attaches to the gun rail using the included tool. The same tool is used to adjust the laser. Once you've positioned the flashlight, push it forward (in the direction of bullet travel) while tightening the clamp. This method reduces the likelihood of recoil moving the light when firing. The screw should be tightened to a reasonable finger tightness; excessive force at this point may damage the screw. Two different rail adapters are included – straight and tilted. Choose the one that fits your gun rail.

Laser Zeroing

Note: This weaponlight features a laser pointer. A laser beam will harm your vision if pointed at your eye. Don’t do it.

Using two screws, the laser zeroing is quite straightforward. The laser has been roughly zeroed at 25 yards (23 m) at the factory. When zeroing for your chosen distance: if the holes e.g. appear above the laser dot, move the dot in the direction of the holes according to the instructions in the manual. However, be careful if either screw feels stuck or if the laser moves diagonally as a result of adjustment. If this happens, loosen one of the screws to allow the laser element to move normally. These are quite small screws and screw heads, so don't use excessive force.
