Features
The Haix Black Eagle Athletic 2.0 T boots are light and breathable, with no membrane silliness. You can really max out your speed with these sneaker-like boots. Although these boots are light, they have some craftily-placed protection in more vulnerable areas like your heels, ankles, and toes. Two-zoned lacing ensures a tight fit, so you won’t twist your ankles. These features come in very handy when you are kicking down doors, or running up and down the stairs, ladders, and whatever siege engines you might have deployed.

And to put it in simple terms, so even a Marine will understand: Tie these boots to your required tightness, and stuff the laces in their compartment – then use the side zipper to open and close these boots.
Shoe care
These Haix boots do not have a waterproof membrane or a leather upper. We recommend using shoe care products intended for textile shoes. Read more about shoe care in our dedicated article.
Warranty
All HAIX footwear are covered by a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Ordinary wear is not covered. We do not handle international warranties or warranties for HAIX footwear that's not bought from us.
Size info
First the British size followed by a comparable EU size. These Haix boots have two-zone lacing, so they also accommodate people with wider insteps.
To convert UK sizes to US Men's sizes, just add one whole size e.g. a British 8.5 is an American 9.5.
User experiences
I’ve trained with these boots for a year now, in varying environments: Wilderness, coastal, indoor and urban. Driving cars and riding motorcycles.
These are surely the most comfortable and agile boots I’ve ever worn. They almost feel like sneakers, whilst still providing some protection and support. Wearing them in was also quick and painless.
Pros:
- Comfortable, light and agile.
- For combat boots, they are breathable and quick to dry. There is even some hope of getting these dry during a mission.
- Operating a car and motorcycle were surprisingly comfortable, as far as boots go. A particularly useful feature for any professional who operates from a vehicle: LEO’s, EMT’s, etc.
Cons:
- These aren’t the most supportive boots. If you know that you need something particularly stiff, these aren’t the ones you’re looking for.
- Nimble shoes aren’t generally known for their durability. That being said, these have served me well for a year's worth of exercises and training, without any signs of slowing down.
In short: A light everyday boot, that can outperform most sneakers.
Should I get them with a waterproof membrane?
A membrane model (GTX) will likely be your safest bet for northern environments with reasonable moisture that aren’t particularly hot. It will breathe a little bit less, and it will take a little bit longer to dry, but it will stop outside moisture from getting your socks wet.
A non-membrane model will serve you best if you're indoors or in a dry environment. Also, any particularly wet environment. If you’re ever convinced that your feet will get wet anyway, regardless of a membrane, you might as well maximize breathability and drying-time. Seals, Marines and Frogmen take note.
