Ian McCollum went to Iceland and saw puffins living a brutal life – this inspired the Puffin Brutality morale patch. Now he has visited the Falkland Islands and encountered penguins! After a grueling yomp retracing the footsteps of 45 Commando, it was only natural to commemorate the event with brutal penguin patches and T-shirts. Get yours now!

  • The morale patch is sized about 2" x 2.8" / 50 x 70 mm
  • The T-shirt is made from eco-friendly recycled cotton and polyester, made by Pure Waste Textiles

"Penguins can’t fly and neither could 45 Commando – so load your ruck, put on your shitty DMS boots, and get yomping!"

– Ian McCollum

What’s the story?

During the Falklands War in 1982, the 45 Commando Royal Marines undertook a tough 56-mile (90 km) march over three days, carrying 80-pound (36 kg) rucks across the rugged terrain of East Falkland to take part in the battle for the capital, Port Stanley.

In late 2024, Ian McCollum with his companions Jari Laine and Les Winner completed a similar march – although peacefully and without any combat operations (as far as we know).
