Blade

The Scandi grind blade is made of satin-polished Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel that is easy to sharpen for being stainless. Finn Wolf is equipped with Cold Steel’s own Tri-Ad^® lock, designed by Andrew Demko. It is the toughest, most secure, and safest folding knife locking mechanism on the market. This makes Finn Wolf suitable for very harsh conditions. It won’t beat a fixed blade puukko in the reliability of course but it is perfect for situations where you must have a folder. This lock type is a bit stiff when new, so it will require some use before it becomes smooth.

Handle

The olive drab handle is made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, which Cold Steel calls Griv-Ex^™ and is also known as Grivory. The handle features a lanyard hole and a belt clip that can be switched for right- or left-handed carry.

Use

Puukko is the most versatile bushcraft, woodworking, and utility knife in this solar system. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away they had some more elegant tools for a more civilized age but not anymore. The only problem with a puukko is that if you must have a folder, that it ain’t.
