Product description

When you need a pouch with a good fit that also allows cables to exit, this universal model from Baribal may very well fit your needs.

The pouch is adjustable in all directions for small to medium-sized devices (GPS, radio, phone...) and has a secure buckle closure. The maximum diameter of a cylindrical thing you can carry is 60 mm / 2.4". For items this thick, the maximum height is 120 mm / 4.7".

Made of 25 mm and 50 mm / 1" and 2" webbing with ITW Nexus buckles. Mil-Spec NIR properties. The color is a bit greener than Ranger Green but less saturated than Olive Drab. See the comparison picture.

The PALS strap in the back can be weaved to form a 50 mm loop for use on a belt without an adapter. For better stability, you can use the VFS MOLLE/PALS Belt Adapter, Single Column.

I had been looking for a radio pouch that I could carry on the vertical molle on my backpack's shoulder straps. From the pictures on here, it looked as if this one was held together only by velcro and could be adjusted to fit either vertical or horizontal molle, and on their own website, baribari indeed show a product of the same name and similar looks that can be used on vertical molle. Well, turns out that while it looks almost the same, has the same name and comes from the same company, this is a different product, or maybe an older model, and can only fit standard horizontal molle. It is also an absolute pain to adjust, and while my radio (Midland Alan 42) will fit in there, it'll only do so with the pouch open - the pouch won't open wide enough to accomodate it past the PTT-Button, and the strap is too short to close otherwise. On the other hand, the pouch can't be sized down enough to hold my (already rather large) phone securely. The only reason I'm not returning this straight away is because shipping it back would be almost as expensive as keeping it. Who knows, maybe I'll find some use for it.
