Varusteleka Backpack Rain Cover

No more wet crap in your pack. Here’s our new, very packable backpack rain cover made in Europe. Available in three colors and four sizes. In addition to hikers and campers, it is an excellent choice for hunting, cycling, and wherever the rain can ruin your day.

Size info

Below, you’ll find the measurements of different variations. Choose a suitable cover for your pack based on them.

Small (10-20 L)

Max 20-liter (1,220 in³) volume. The smallest one of our backpack covers. Designed to fit small day packs without a too much of additional side pockets or gear lashed onto the outside. Flat measurements 70 x 85 cm (27" x 33").

Medium (30-50 L)

Max 50-liter (3,050 in³) volume. The mid-sized backpack cover for common 3-day packs or a bit larger ones. Flat measurements 96 x 110 cm (38" x 43").

Large (60-80 L)

Max 80-liter (4,880 in³) volume. This is good for large packs without overpacking and/or additional gear attached on the outside. Flat measurements 108 x 136 cm (43" x 54").

X-Large (90-110 L)

Max 110 liter (6,710 in³) volume. The largest size, designed to fit over huge, overpacked packs with all kinds of additional pouches and gear attached to the outside. Flat measurements 124 x 168 cm (49" x 66").

Materials

100% ripstop-reinforced polyamide (weight 80g/m²), PU-coated on the inside. The PFC-free Bionic-Finish Eco treatment makes the fabric more water and dirt-resistant. We stabbed and tried to rip the fabric, the ripstop is what it is supposed to be.

Waterproof rating (hydrostatic head) at least 5,000 mm, so the cover will keep the water outside even in heavy rain. Note that water didn’t start getting through at this mark; the test was simply stopped there. So, this is the minimum; the maximum isn’t known.

Made in the EU

Our rain covers are nowadays made in Europe, in Latvia to be precise. Fewer emissions from transportation, better security of supply, smaller minimum purchases, and a more transparent production process. These are a few good reasons for this change.
