As basic as they come, refreshingly straightforward, no gimmicks multi-tool in a pleasantly black color scheme. Yes, this is the one that flicks open one-handed.

When you begin to list necessities in a multi-tool, this ticks the first boxes: full-size pliers, locking blades, and a few tools. All else is supplemental. The pliers are made strong and simple, without unnecessary extra features, instead, they have large gripping surfaces. In fact, the whole tool feels very "manly" with its blocky design and not-so-hermetical tolerances.

Jokapäiväisessä puuhastelussa mukana, toimii kaikissa olosuhteissa. Istuu hyvin käteen, saa todella coolisti heilauttamalla avattua pihdit käyttöön ja tämä on varmaan yksi syy miksi tämän käyttö on perusteltua kaikissa tilanteissa. Aluksi työkalujen aukaisu oli jäykkä mutta käytössä muuttuneet sopivan helpoiksi ottaa esille ja lukitus toimii hyvin. Pysyy paremmin kädessä kuin sileäpintainen leatherman mikä on kyllä iso plussa. Liikkuvien osien välys antaa ehkä vähän kyseenalaisen vaikutelman laadusta ja viimeistelystä, mutta kun menee hiekkaa tai muuta pihteihin niin huomaa että ehkä se välys oli ihan ajateltu juttu.
Ainut minus on tuo kotelo, kun kotelo ei mene hihnalenkki esillä kiinni sujuvasti.

Oikeasti hyvä vekotin, ainoa miinus alkuperäisestä kotelosta, joka on muutenkin nössö ja menee vain melko kapeaan vyöhön. Voisittekin tehdä urosmehiläisen työn ja linkittää, mikä lipastasku olisi tälle passelin kokoinen.

I have been buying and using Gerber knives and tools for almost 40 years and, just as impressive as their products is Gerber's customer service and their guarantee. For European customers, Gerber guarantees its products for 25 years; in North America their guarantee is for life. If your knife or tool breaks or fails in normal use you go to their web site, fill in a form, mail them their product *and they mail you a new one.* And that includes sheaths and tool pouches too! Gerber makes great products and then they stand behind them. I know this for a fact, I have worn out Gerber items and have received new ones. You can find cheaper products to buy, but you'll not find another guarantee like that.
