An old German WW2 era Pelzmantel or in reality a shortened one. A quite nice example with clear visible markings!

Simple front closure, with light cotton collar, a hood and a generous fit. Made of shearling. Quite clear markings can be found from behind the other pocket, denoting the coat is Wehrmachtseigentum - property of the Wehrmacht and made in Leipzig. The hem looks field shortened.

The markings and empiric tests would indicate this is about size Medium-Large, which is rare for these items.

Condition

In rather nice condition considering the age. This doesn't mean it's perfect; there's a tear on the hem, one toggle button fastening loop decided to stay with the button itself, and there's various little holes and such. We would probably not wear this much, of course, it's a collectible. Would fit well for a mannequin when thrown over his field tunic. The shoulder boards and buttons are unfortunately reproduction, but can be carefully removed.
