Wehrmacht M40 wool trousers, repro, used
The early war model of the Wehrmacht wool trousers. Used reproduction, these were worn in the newest Tuntematon Sotilas (Unknown Soldier) movie.
These are almost identical to the first world war field trousers. Almost straight cut, two size pockets, one back pocket, one watch pocket, no belt loops, button fly and buttons for suspenders.
The material of these trousers is 70% wool and 30% viscose, which is, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on the viewpoint), probably of better quality than the war-time materials. Colour is the basic Feldgrau.
You can machine wash these in 30 degrees Celsius, with wool cycle. Use of wool care products recommended but not necessary Air dry only, do not use a dryer. Best option is not to wash these at all. If they smell like a dead animal, you have acquired an unprecented level of historical correctness.
The sizes are normal Euro sizes with user's recommended height and waist in the brackets. The sizes run a bit generous, as these are field trousers.
Reproduction by STURM Miltec and these have been used a bit.

The item usually has various property markings; old Milform wardrobe, our own, and of course various tags from the Tuntematon sotilas movie set, many of these permanent. These are size markings, names etc. All markings are placed in a way they do not show outside when the item is used.
