Soviet Shovel Head, surplus

Price 12.99 USD excluding sales tax

Have you always visualized yourself as an upstanding working-class hero, but the too short or too long shovels in the stores have always screwed up your ergonomics completely. No worries, get yourself a Russian do-it-yourself shovel kit and you are already one step closer to your dream. Just add a hand-carved handle and start shoveling. This is also fantastic for those who dig cheaper tools and don't mind a bit of extra work.

This beast from the east doesn't need a long intro. It is a proper shovel head made from proper steel, fit for digging proper holes as long as you put a proper handle on it. Without one, it only functions as a crappy paperweight.

Size: big. This is not a cake shovel or a trenching spade but an adult-sized shovel head designed for digging big holes.

Price: Cheap. With this cheap price, you usually only find mockeries of tools equipped with a self-destruction mechanism. However, this is from the era when they couldn't yet design such clever things. So, it will most likely last longer than the capitalistic society but we cannot promise that because of the Soviet Union.

Genuine old army surplus

Remove Russia

Our old product descriptions include ironic praise of our eastern neighbor and it used to be good fun. Does it piss you off? We understand and agree. However, we won't whitewash the old product descriptions. Instead, we have decided to stop buying Russian products. We sell what we have in stock and that's it.

It's a basic REAL steel shovel head, nice and sturdy. Not the type of thinner cheap steel shovels you find in the USA big box stores (Menards, Home Depot) or anywhere these days. You have to go to yard/garage/estate sales or flea markets and look really hard
to find something like this. Just a warning mine was sent covered in a cosmoline type product and wrapped in brown packing paper for long term storage. Not the first time I bought surplus items in cosmoline :)
