Särmä Short Socks, Merino Wool

These low, lightweight socks are excellent for hot weather. Ever since we started selling our own merino socks, we have had people asking for a lightweight ankle-high version. Well, you get what you ask for!

• Light, summer-weight short socks
• 62% merino wool, 36% polyamide and 2% elastane
• 23.5 micron

The heel has a fitted Y-construction to retain the heel and keep the sock in place.

Material and care

Material 62% merino wool, 36% polyamide, and 2% elastane. Wash at 40° C (104° F). The polyamide is added to the mix for wear resistance, and the elastane guarantees a snug fit.

The joys of merino wool

Wool is an excellent material. It will keep you warm even when wet and does not soak in nasty smells or dirt easily, making it pretty hygienic. Now, Merino wool has two additional benefits compared to normal wool; it's finer, which means it's also warmer per gram and feels very comfortable against the skin, not rough and itchy at all.

These are made from mulesing-free merino wool!

Our sock provider Sukkamestarit has joined the NATIVA™system, the purpose of which is to be able to trace the merino wool back to individual sheep farms. Because of this, you will also be able to find out where the wool for all our merino wool Särmä socks comes from.
