The backsides of these patches have hook surface to attach to any velcro base you may have on your sleeve, bag or backpack, or what have you. A visible spot would be smart but we don't judge.
Disclaimer: the patch reflects light, as does everything you can see with the naked eye. These patches reflect light quite well, actually, but not quite in a fashion that would let us market them as reflectors.
