A Finnish army experimental water bottle, used in the '80s. If you collect this junk, here's a chance to own a piece of something exotic.

The volume is about 0,85 liters, made of steel with a plastic cap, a nylon pouch, and belt loop, and a clip for attaching the bottle to your kit. The belt loop can be opened, and the cap assembly pulled out together with the bottle itself if you need to use it without the pouch.

Our informants told us this steel bottle was made to replace the old wartime model aluminum one but, rather typically for the Finnish army, this invention was somewhat obsolete when it was rolled out from the production line. These saw limited use in the '80s and were then thrown into the warehouses when the plastic bottles were introduced, never to be seen again. Until now.

Used, but in nice serviceable condition. These might have some small dings and the covers might be patched up here and there. Other than that, these are perfectly fine, just remember to wash before use.

Luja je kestävä.
Pullo vaan pesuun astianpesukoneeseen, tule puhdas. Korkkia ei kannata koneessa pestä, se ei välttämättä kestä pesua, näin ainakin asiaan vihkiytynyt henkilö minua valisti.

This would have been the perfect canteen size to Liter ratio for work or weekend outings if it was not for the very leaky cap. Had to create my own silicone seal and will require you to screw the cap really tight to make it air seal and avoid leaks hence i would not recommend it unless your a canteen collector.

My canteen cap came with no seal at all in the cap making it very prone to water leaks. Anyone else experiencing the same?
