Särmä traditional neckwarmer, merino wool, black
A traditional neckwarmer made of Merino wool! Truly a godsend if you're looking for something to protect only the neck.
Finnish fur hat, gray, surplus
In the merry year of 1939, the Finnish army came out with a fur hat good and proper. What's even more, it did not look like it came from Soviet Union, but it looked spectacularly Finnish. This hat model was so good that it was retired from active service in the early 2000's. The successor? Same but camouflaged.
Särmä merino gloves
Good quality made-in-Finland knit gloves from super-duper material. Good as they are for a bit chilly conditions, for serious cold these do well as insulating layer for hard shell gloves. How can they make these so cheap in Finland?
Särmä merino watch cap
Standard woolly cap engineered to its full potential. Superb fit, uncompromising workmanship and the best possible materials don't come cheap but this one should last for a lifetime, provided you don't lose it.
Soviet M91/30 spike bayonet, surplus
This bayonet is essentially a pointy stick meant only for hurting people. It's long, heavy and has no other purpose - no wonder it comes from Russia! Fun to carry and will turn your Mosin-Nagant M/91-30 rifle into something worth considering for polevaulting competitions. We got a hold of 100 bayonets and once these are gone, we're pretty sure that's it.
Mil-Tec navy greatcoat, black
A few things reach the class of a proper thick, black navy greatcoat. They're surprisingly hard to find as surplus, but here's a new one for a very decent price!
Särmä Common Jeans, black
Our staff is usually fully clothed in Varusteleka, but there was one constant exception: they wear jeans, and we didn't have them. We fixed this fault by making Good Ol' Proper Jeans. As the blue model had a good welcome, here's a pair in classic black and with button fly instead of a zipper!
Bundesmarine winter boots with felt lining, surplus
Hoo boy, the Germans let go of some pretty damn good winter boots. These Bundesmarine boots are made of real leather, fur lined and have a zipper running on the side. Probably some 200 EUR boots if made today. Maybe more.
Tired of the traditional Pea Coat? Why not try the much more imposing Russian model! It's the stuff fashion garments are modeled after. Of course, this is the real deal and not a copy with a fancy name attached to it. These are completely unissued, directly from Putin's military warehouse no. 624! We got a small shipment of these, and more will probably arrive later in the year if available. Might not be.
Granted, the traditional navy Pea Coat is a timeless classic. But for those who feel it's so last season should try the more eccentric Russian model with its shiny brass buttons and the cut that makes even the thinnest nerd look like something out of a Marvel comic.
This modern model has four pockets on the front and two zippered ones on the inside. The outside pockets are closed with factory seams, you'll have to open the stitches to use them. Please do this after you decide to keep the coat.
Naturally these are made of thick and durable wool fabric and lined with polyester batting and nylon liner. Usually wool just requires some airing out to make it fresh again, you should spare it from washing as long as possible.
First the Russian GOST size, then recommended height & chest circumference in centimetres. These fit best on normal body types - chest about 12 cm wider than the waist. The cut is pretty tight and does not flatter beer bellies at all.
Our model is pretty much Euro size 48 and 175 cm tall, and wears here a size 48-4 coat. It's a tight fit, not much room for other stuff.
We'll occasionally get these, but the size sortiments are totally random, as are the delivery dates. Please don't ask, because we probably don't know.
Russian navy surplus
Made in Russia to a high standard. Not necessarily pretty down to the last detail, but really durable stuff.
