Pulsafe Safety Glasses, Surplus

Price 14.99 USD excluding sales tax

Mystical safety glasses that have that special funkadelic style found in the 70s exploitation films. Army surplus of unknown origin. No idea even how they were supposed to use these. But these should work for various outdoor tasks where crap can fly in your eyes. Or simply use these around the year and change your name to Big Poppa Suga' Bear. A plastic case is included.

Features

These have heart-warmingly brown plastic frames with some sort of a retro marble pattern. Something your shady uncle from over yonder had in his car in 1978. In other words a true classic! Yellow lenses that transmogrify the world into this sunny Johnny Walker-colored wonderland. These are not polarized. There are non-colored protective plastic flaps on the corners of the eyes.

These come with a surprisingly plain black case that is padded by very frugal folks plus possibly a user manual. However, the manual is so shitty that your sanity will probably be better off without it.

Use

This funny thing happened with these safety spectacles, as the manufacturer calls them, that we didn’t get the slightest clue on which army used these. Nor do we know what cosmic threat they repelled with these. The manual states that these conform to the European EN 166-169 -standard, and the frames give this code: 3429 Pulsafe BS.2092-2 CE 0086. So, most likely, they work in all sorts of outdoor work where shit can end up in your eyes, such as angle grinding, drilling, and such.

On the other hand, these are so bitch’n that you could just make everyone around you happy if you keep on truckin’ through the sunny streets with these on throughout the year.

Condition

These appear to be in very good condition, so they might not have seen any action, or they were used very nicely. But the condition may wary because we cannot check all of them. So, we sell them as used instead. Pulsafe is a brand name. These are made by Dalloz, but they have probably been made at their factory in Germany. And Dalloz is owned by Honeywell these days.

Päheet lasit suoraan 70-luvulta. Isoa plussaa myös se, että nämä kakkulat päässä maailma näyttää Meksikolta.

CE safety mark was on all EU production but not the British safety mark. Points to UK or one of its dominions.
