Features
Solargorilla works via two PV (photovoltaic) solar panels that generate electric current when exposed to sunlight. The technically advanced and reliable panels are housed in a tough outer casing. You can use it anywhere as long as there is good, strong sunlight. The intensity of the green LED on the unit displays how optimal the charging conditions are.
Note! Solargorilla is primarily designed to be used in conjunction with Powergorilla via the L53D tip. When used together, you have a very nice off-grid setup when adventuring in the middle of nowhere. It can recharge Powergorilla fully in c. 18 hours. However, it may not work with some over 40-watt laptops directly. Adapters are supplied for all major laptops. (Apple magsafe connector is not included.)
This solar charger relies on the UV intensity of the sun. If you have no sun, it doesn’t charge anything. So it isn’t perhaps the ideal option in Lapland in winter on its own. In the Southern Hemisphere, it has been tested successfully by aid agencies, emergency services, the military and adventure travellers. In any case, it is good to bring along a fully loaded powerbank for those crappy days.Made by Powertraveller
