Särmä merino wool hoodie
Finally a proper hoodie - in this case the price doesn't come from a big name, but rather from the material, which is thickish Merino wool, which is probably the best fabric ever. Oh, and we haven't forgotten to design the cut properly too. Whether you like to move on foot or two wheels, for the love of God buy this!

Särmä viscose hoodie, black
We already made a superior hoodie out of Merino wool, but that stuff is expensive. For the plebs is available this cheaper option which retains the superb cut and features and while not as fancy as the woollen one, still works like that to a degree - at less than half the price! If you just need a damn well designed hoodie for casual use, this is the ticket.
Pentagon Elgon Heavy Duty Pants

LCP, or Light Coldweather Parka, is designed to pack very small and as the name says, it should also work as a cold weather jacket. Well, let us give you a little spoiler: it does work just like that.
Not only does this roll up in its own hood, but also is better than many similar but heavier jackets. And we're talking about a proper winter parka here!
Top layer made of ripstop reinforced nylon with Storm-Tex laminate on the inside. This means the parka is pretty much waterproof.
The heart of the jacket is the Primaloft filling on the inside, the same stuff used on Jerven Bags. Primaloft is expensive, but remarkably warm compared to its weight and compression properties. The manufacturer states a comfort value of -10 degrees Celsius. (please take this only as a guideline, in real life there are so many things affecting such things). Now, compare this to the fact that the parka rolls into its hood and only weighs about 850 grams (size Large).
- A proper parka, all openings adustable with drawstrings & tabs (hood, hem, cuffs).
- Zipper closure. The zipper is pretty much waterproof.
- Ventilation zippers on the armpits.
- Two roomy front handwarmer pockets.
- Sleeve pockets with velcro on top for insignia or reflector tabs. Also a small pocket near the wrist.
- A mesh inner pocket.
- All pockets close with zippers, which are water resistant.
Sizes are given in centimeters, first up is user height, then chest circumference. If you use inches, divide the centimeter sizes by 2,54, or go ogle it for conversion websites.
Pentagon Tactical is a Greek kit supplier. Their stuff is of course made in China, but to very decent standards.
