Pentagon Hermes softshell pants
Full nylon "action pants". These keep wind and light rain off, and breathe way better than GTX membranes. An excellent compromise for general use during the more unstable months of the year, either with Merino wool underwear or not. As a bonus for the civilian, these don't even look all that warry while still have pocket room for the essentials.
Simple, sensible mid-range soft shell trousers for everything else than indian summer or arctic hell. Nice on their own, and paired with a nice pair of Merino wool long johns will work superbly well in normal winter temperatures too!
A rather form fit with action cut for acrobatics, zipper fly and a few strategically placed pockets - all in all, a surprisingly minimalistic approach.
- Made of elastic nylon for free movement
- Keeps light rain out, dries quickly
- Simple elastic cord adjustment on the cuffs
- Reinforced knees, pocket edgdes and leg cuffs
- Stress points triple stitched
What on earth is brown-grey? Yeah, we also think it looks more green, but the name is what it is. We have done our best to adjust the colours in the pictures to represent what the trousers really look like, so you know what to expect.
Pentagon has their own sizing, which has to be multiplied by two to get the waist size in centimetres. Correct waist size shown in brackets. The fit is somewhat snug, as can be seen from the pictures. Upsize a notch if you want a slacker fit.
The length fits about everyone as the legs are pretty long (86 cm or 34" inseam), but can be adjusted to fit. Our model is 175 cm tall and there was definitely excess length, but the adjustments keep the cuffs firmly in place.
Pentagon Tactical is a Greek kit supplier. Their stuff is of course made in China, but to very decent standards.
