Features

Like its namesake – the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area – this expedition pack is expansive, accessible and full of surprises. You can load it from the top via the shroud access, get to all your gear from the side through the full-length, dual side zips and store a sleeping bag in the bottom Speedzip.

The lightweight Guide Light MT Frame is the improved version of the tried-and-true Guide Light Frame and its rigid yet dynamic frame system, with a few discrete changes. Lightweight in this case isn’t just some meaningless marketing lingo.

The five-part waist belt is extremely well padded, and it delivers solid weight distribution and eliminates slippage over your hips, regardless of the load. The bad part is that it will make the trip a lot less miserable but you can, of course, spice up the tales afterward. The Overload® feature provides functional expandability via a load sling between the pack and the frame, allowing you to put the bulk of the weight closest to your back for optimal comfort. This isn’t a proper gun pack because you cannot pull the weapon quickly out while on the move. But for simply carrying your weapons, it works very well.

Materials

Marshall is made from durable 500D LP CORDURA ® and 500D CORDURA ® (Subalpine). It has YKK® coated zippers for durability and water protection as well as lightweight SJ Autolock buckles on straps.

Sizing

Mystery Ranch makes these in several sizes but we only have the large one. It weighs 3.4 kg (7.5 lbs), and the volume is 105 L (6,405 cu. inch). Dimensions: 80 x 37 x 37 cm (31.5 x 14.75" x 14.5"). The patented Futura Yoke easily micro adjusts to the torso length allowing the proper amount of stand-off between the back and frame.

Large

  • Torso length: 43-61 cm (17”-24”)
  • Waist circumference: 89-102 cm (35”-40”)

The above figures refer to your torso and waist sizes. Measure the waist circumference with your clothes on just above the top of your hip bones roughly two fingers below your belly button. If you are between sizes on the waist belt, we recommend you size down or adjust your eating accordingly. Use a tape measure or string and have a friend measure from the bony bump at the base of your neck (C7 vertebra) to the spot on your spine that is just behind your belly button.
