French rain jacket, CCE, surplus
Totally unissued modern rain jackets, these are French army surplus in bigger gentlemen's sizes. These present an excellent value for the money - the price of comparable stuff is measured in hundreds of bucks, not tens like these. The cut is properly royal and quality equally solid!
The PCU jacket is lightweight and weatherproof, and not too bad looking either! It's just what you want for cold/wet weather.
Mil-Tec copied a Propper product and named it wrong, but hey, who cares when we're talking about a pretty damn good jacket for foul weather. We've sold these for years and some of our staff use these as well, and we actually stand by this item. It's really a nice piece of garment and for this price unbeatable.
Six pockets: two large side pockets on the front, two smaller chest pockets and two sleeve pockets. All zips are either waterproof or protected by a flap. Drawcord hem and velcro tab adjustable sleeves to keep the wind out. A small hood can be pulled out from the neck.
A The fabric is a 3-layer laminate, with the outer shell being wind, water and wear resistant nylon, the middle layer is a breathable polyester membrane and the innermost layer nylon again. All seams are taped. With appropriate underwear, this is the perfect choice for autumn, winter and spring use, and as it is unlined you can of course also wear it on rainy or windy summer days too.
Lengthwise these are all the same, good for 170-180 cm tall users. The sizes are a bit tight fitting, if you normally wear size S but want a warm fleece, sweater or such under your PCU then choose one size up, if a T-shirt is enough go with your normal size.
