NVA wool neck tube, grey, surplus
An essential bit of winter kit: the headover or toque. The German armed forces have used this for ages. This tube-like piece of cloth was originally a Wehrmacht issue item: go ahead and look at any old photos from the eastern front and you'll see the popularity.
Särmä merino wool hoodie
Finally a proper hoodie - in this case the price doesn't come from a big name, but rather from the material, which is thickish Merino wool, which is probably the best fabric ever. Oh, and we haven't forgotten to design the cut properly too. Whether you like to move on foot or two wheels, for the love of God buy this!
Särmä merino watch cap
Standard woolly cap engineered to its full potential. Superb fit, uncompromising workmanship and the best possible materials don't come cheap but this one should last for a lifetime, provided you don't lose it.
Särmä viscose hoodie, black
We already made a superior hoodie out of Merino wool, but that stuff is expensive. For the plebs is available this cheaper option which retains the superb cut and features and while not as fancy as the woollen one, still works like that to a degree - at less than half the price! If you just need a damn well designed hoodie for casual use, this is the ticket.
MP winter jacket
A pretty straightforward copy of the Finnish army winter jacket in different colour schemes. Made by the same manufacturer who makes them for the army. These are dead stock from a defunct company, thus the reasonable price.
When doing precision work by dropping 30 000 kg of bombs from some ten kilometres up (guaranteed not to hit any civilians!), you need a good jacket, as it can get quite nippy up there. The US Air Force N3B parka does just that, and also looks rather good while keeping you warm!
This jacket's shared heritage with the N2B jacket is obvious. This version, however, includes some additions which make it more appropriate for really cold weather. The measures are extended in every direction: the long hem and the longer sleeves as well as the stretched collar all add to the usability of the jacket in Proper Bloody Cold Weather, such as the Finnish summer.
- Lined hood with artificial fur and tightening cord.
- Two upper slanted pockets, two waist pockets, a smaller zippered pocket on the left arm with pen loops.
- Tightening cord on the waist
- Overlength sleeves with knit cuffs inside
- Zipper closure with a storm flap
- The thick lining and long waist makes this a very warm jacket.
Sizes are given in centimeters, first up is user height, then chest circumference. If you use inches, divide the centimeter sizes by 2,54, or go ogle it for conversion websites.
The materials used are 100% nylon. The lining on the inside of the hood is 100% polyester.
