Injection-molded from a proprietary reinforced composite for enhanced strength and durability while remaining lightweight, Magpul's Rail Sections also feature beveled ends to reduce snagging and scratching.
Relevant installation info
All hardware necessary for attachment directly to integral mounting slots on MOE hand guards and forends is included. Additional hardware may be necessary for other applications. You'll need a 1/8" Allen key for tightening the screws. Do not overtighten!
These rails are not proprietary by any means, you can mount these to pretty much anything, being limited only by your bubba-gunsmithing skills. Here are some numbers to help you get started.
Size | Overall length | Hole center spacing | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
5 Slots | 63.5 mm | 2.5" | 30.5 mm | 1.2" |
7 Slots | 83.8 mm | 3.3" | 40.6 mm | 1.6" |
9 Slots | 104.1 mm | 4.1" | 61.0 mm | 2.4" |
The mounting hole nominal size is 5 mm (0.2") and the maximum material thickness is also 5 mm. The first hole center from the MOE-end of the rail is 22.2 mm (7/8").
Made in the USA.
Made by Magpul
Magpul Industries is an American designer and manufacturer of firearms accessories and related items. The name comes from the first product released in 1999, a rubber add-on to a 5.56 mm STANAG magazine to help pulling it out of a pouch. Anything that says "Magpul" is most often well designed, which means it gets the job done but is also simple. We like their attitude.
