This 4-season inflatable sleeping pad is the thickest and warmest in the Static Series. It is very comfortable, well-insulated yet fairly lightweight. With the R-Value of 6.5, it is perfect for even those Winter War-type mega cold winters.

Features

These are made from tough yet lightweight 30D polyester. The abrasion resistance of that fabric is good but since this is thinner than 75D, the latter is a better choice for really rough terrain. Or simply put a foam pad underneath as many folks do. The V-chamber design conforms to the shape of your body while maintaining ample, lofted air pockets. They also center you on the pad and together with the side rails make it easier to stay on the pad through the night.

This is a pretty big and wide pad, so it is suitable for bigger folks and comfort-loving Hobbits. It is also nice and thick yet offers a good balance of weight, width, and length in its size category. The weight is trimmed down by using a lightweight fabric and a slight taper at the bottom third of the pad. The pad comes with a carry bag and a patch for repairing.

Inflation is fast and easy. Either huff and puff it yourself or use a pump. Since this is big, it does take more huffs than usual This pad is compatible with Klymit Rapid Air Pump (sold separately by the company). Because of the insulation, this isn’t the quietest sleeping pad you can find.

The R-value of this sleeping pad is a whopping 6.5. This figure reveals how much thermal resistance the pad provides against heat loss through contact with the ground. Sleeping pads usually have R-values of 1-7. The higher the figure, the warmer your ass stays. Depending on whom you ask, four-season sleeping pads either have the R-values of 4-7 or 5-7. So, this pad is suitable for 4-season use, even in very cold winters.
