JNA fireman helmet, surplus
The Yugoslavian fireman's helmet is a freshly foul stench right from the Middle Ages! The need for non-military features means these are made of aluminium, and behold the glorious shape; someone has fueled his sick fantasies by making it look something like a cheap gate guard would wear.
The liner consists of thin leather, padding and cardboard. On the dome there's a fancy reinforcement piece, usually with rusty rivets. All in all the whole helmet feels a bit cheap, which only makes it more medieval, something Baldrick from Blackadder would wear.
Looked like all of the helmets had the Yugoslavian fire brigade logo on the front.
Well, let's just say these look like an aluminium headcover that has seen rough use. However the example we picked out represents the worst of the lot, so it's not all that bad.
Not sold for any actual protective purposes, naturally. Only as a collectible.
