Italian V-neck Pullover, Green, Surplus

These handsome beasts were Italian army issue way back. With the reinforced shoulders and elbows this "Commando" model is pleasant green in colour too and we recommend extending your wardrobe with it ASAP, if the size fits.

Besides grappa, the Italian soldiers were issued with these jolly green V-neck sweaters for warmth. The soldier could then wear his favourite collared shirt underneath as long as it was issue gear. Being meant for field use, this pullover has reinforced shoulders and elbows - controversially the latter being a rather good feature in office work too, especially paired with the pen holder on the left arm. The epaulettes can be opened. Actually this pullover looks a lot like the classic British model, only with a different collar style and maybe a tad more loose fit.

Material and care

Made of thick-ish, stretchy 50/50 % wool/acrylic blend. This means you'll stay pretty warm even if the sweater gets a bit moist, you'll smell like a wet dog and you can get rid of most smells simply by airing the sweater out once in a while. If the need for wash arises, you can machine wash these in 30 degrees Celsius with a wool cycle. Hang dry.

Size info

Sizes in the so called easy system, with our estimates for wearer's recommended chest circumference. The length can be adjusted by rolling the sleeve cuffs, just like with the British pullover.

Condition

No espresso stains on these, as the condition is excellent - so good that these could almost be described as "unissued". However we cannot promise this, they might have signs of light use and long storage.
