Phew! Finally you can thrash all your old sunglasses and get these instead. In Italy they designed the beautifullest glasses ever and now they're availalbe for the general public.

The pressure was probably great to come up with glasses that had to be (from the most imporant to less important):

  • Very stylish
  • Protect from the sun
  • Be durable

Like you probably see, the top priority was definitely achieved, the rest with some mixed success. Of course these always beat supermarket sunglasses, but this might be just marketing talk.

Just by dumb luck these seem to work with regular eyeglasses too!

Laitettuani nämä päähäni sain käsittämättömän impulssin nousta kaverin pikku-Fiatin kattoikkunasta, antaa kuskille suunta kohden lähintä pastaravintolaa ja huutaa "Carri armati, avanti!". Ovat siis varmaankin jonkinlaiset tankin komentajan tai jonkun ajoneuvokuskin aurinko-/suojalasit (ulkomailla kauppaavaat näitä mm. nimellä "Italian panzer goggles"). Silmälasien kanssa toimivuus on testattu - toimii jotenkuten - ja ovathan nämä aivan ihanan törkeän näköiset jos näitä käyttää kaupungilla. Aurinkolaseina nämä eivät tosin ole kovinkaan hyvät.

The nose bridge cushion that these things should have is not part of the design, so these dig painfully into your nose, and fall off surprisingly easily since the securing strap is at the very top. To top it all off the pair I received are bent. These are better than nothing, but god help you if these are the only option.

I'm a collector of helmets, so these will eventually find a home on a styrofoam head when I eventually get an Italian helmet. But are otherwise useless, at least to me.
