Use

Italians sure know how to make military clothes that don’t look militaristic. When the summer sun starts going down below the horizon, just slip into this and have a couple of Aperol Spritz cocktails on the terrace and you’ll feel like you were in a cozy Mediterranean cafe, caressed by the salty sea breeze. If you don’t give a rat's ass about such a feeling, this is still quite a nice mid-layer for everyday use.

Materials and care

We only know that these have cotton but nothing more precise than that. Most likely there is something synthetic mixed in. Wash at 60 degrees Celsius (140 F).

Sizing

We got these in three sizes, none of which are super big. The Italian measuring system goes backward, so the number I is the largest and III the smallest. In the chart below, you can find some measurements. The sleeve length has been measured from the bottom of the collar. The fabric stretches quite a lot, so choosing the size isn’t precision engineering. It is worth noting that the sizing is pretty slim, so with a bigger daddy tummy the shirt might bulge.

Condition

Italian navy surplus. These appear to have been used very nicely or not at all, they are in such good condition. Clean and quite pristine.
