Our hawk-eyed quality control put aside a small batch of Jääkäripuukko knives because they have a bit interestingly sharpened blades. These are sharp and they work but since they aren’t up to our quality standards, they will be sold at a lower price.

Features

These knives have a bit weirdly ground blades because of human error. So, they differ somewhat from what we expect to see on our Jääkäripuukko knives. Some don’t have a drop point and the spine hasn’t been ground to be ferro-rod friendly. And the blade angle on some of these differs from the one defined for our Jääkäripuukkos. And on some, the bevel is a bit crooked.

Most of these are more like features rather than faults. And you do get a working blade as long as you know what you are buying. If you don’t like the blade angle/bevel, you can modify it. You cannot pick and choose these “features”. So, when you order one of these collector's gems, you might get a pretty unique combination.

Four varieties without sheaths

We have small batches of both Jääkäripuukko 110 and Jääkäripuukko 140 with or without the plastic blade cover. These come without the sheath but you can order one with the knife or fabricate one yourself. The plastic blade cover on the ones that have it is wobbly so it is a very poor idea of a sheath.

Varusteleka Terävä

All Terävä knives are manufactured in Kauhava, Finland, by our partners at Laurin Metalli, Finlands leading knife blade manufacturer with roots going back to 1918. A Terävä blade is Finnish craftsmanship, pure and simple! And "Terävä", that's just Finnish for "sharp".
