Pro Tip: Warehouse workers find this a handy and safe tool for cutting straps off cargo pallets and wholesale boxes. Also recommended to kite surfers.
The Gerber Strap Cutter is made from a single piece of 3 mm steel with a rubber-coated handle. It's fairly light and tiny, and a large cut-out serves as a finger-hole to keep the tool in control even with gloves on. The pommel has a lanyard hole and a glass breaker tip - which is often necessary in the same situations where you'd cut a seatbelt.
The sheath usually has a MALICE clip for attaching to MOLLE/PALS webbing or just a belt (up to 50 mm / 2" wide). In the latest batch, about 5 % of the cutters didn't have the clip, but PALS-compatible folks should have spares in their loot box. In the modern world of micro-aggressions, it's nice to notice that it's symmetrical to serve southpaws as well.

The clip that comes with it is wide enough to fit onto belts about 2 inches wide, like a seatbelt, or less and the cutter fits in the holder either way round so you can use it with either hand with ease.
The clip for attaching it to items has the only minor drawback in that once you've fitted to something it takes a bit of effort to undo it again, so unless you like challenges like fitting a triangle in a square hole I'd attach it to something your not likely to remove it from on a routine basis.

The glass breaker is a nice bonus. Should be in every car on the road.
You also get a gen2 MAlice clip.
As previous reviewers have noted, the operative word for these is malice, especially in the cold.
