A sturdy platform for anything that needs to be used quickly, like a dump pouch. Part of the new Finnish army M05 system.

Recce-Trick: recon servicemen who are issued the new M05 combat equipment are a bit fucked these days. The older M85 magazine pouch could be attached to the LJK rucksacks waist belt, but the new M05 system offers no such luxuries. Therefore this drop leg platform is used by some to create a simple chest rig, by attaching a general purpose pouch and a magazine pouch!

This is a well-padded, durable leg rig with a belt attachment and a horizontal leg strap. The backside has a rubber anti-slip pad. Can be quickly donned and doffed with QR buckles.

Made of military-grade Cordura. The quality is excellent overall, as should be expected.

Made by Finn-Savotta Oy

Founded in 1955 Finn-Savotta, or just Savotta, is known for their simplistic and extremely rugged designs. For decades Savotta has been the go-to supplier of hiking gear for the Finnish civilian market and combat gear and tents for the defence forces.

Today Savotta operates two factories, one in Karstula, Finland, where they make all their tents and metal components and one in Estonia where they do about 50% of their sewing.

Nice quality rig. To use as a chest rig you have to DIY a bit. You need two length of additional straps to fit around your neck and chest
