High-quality Dutch field jacket in the DPM camo pattern. Comes with a fixed hood. Nice parka-style jacket for all sorts of activities in that fine Scottish weather we’re often having.
- PTFE membrane, the same stuff that Gore-Tex is
- Fixed hood and a nice high collar
- Two zippered front pockets and one side-opening zippered outside breast pocket
- Full length two-way front zipper w. a hook and loop storm flap
- Adjustable hook-and-loop cuffs and drawcord-adjustable hem and waist
- Loop for a name patch on the chest and rank patches on the sleeves
Here’s a nice membrane jacket for those crappy fall days. The high collar and hood protect you from the windy weather. This isn’t overloaded with pockets but the ones that it has, are very spacious. Comes in the DPM camo pattern that the Dutch call the Woodland pattern just to confuse you.
Materials and care
The main material is polyester and polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), the latter is the same waterproof stuff that Gore-Tex is made of. The lining material is polyester.
Machine washable at max. 40 degrees Celsius (104 F).
Sizing
The first four numbers of the NATO size refer to the user’s height and the last four to the chest circumference in centimeters. For example, 7585 is 175-185 cm, and 0510 105-110 cm. We opened these next to the Nato size to make them easier to read.
When you pick your chest size, there should still be space for a warm mid-layer. The hem is quite long, so when you pick according to your height, you shouldn’t be running out of the hem length.
Condition
Dutch military surplus but in excellent condition. Clean and intact, not even slightly blown or shot to bits. However, we cannot guarantee that the membrane is totally waterproof anymore because it is impossible to check it thoroughly on surplus clothing. In any case, the uncertainty has been taken into consideration in pricing. In other words, this is cheap.

It is more of a parka then a field jacket really, very comfortable and practical and in my opinion one of the best pieces of wet weather gear. They have a roomy fit, relatively long sleeves (shocker, its dutch!) And as a shell layer it is decently warm and with some care it is also very waterproof. What else can i say, they are amazing.
