Features

This is the upgraded version of Dark Energy’s tried and tested Poseidon. The shell is constructed from very tough polymer that can take very rough abuse. The device has the highest water and dustproof rating available, ip68. Furthermore, it has the US military MIL-STD-810-G specification, which guarantees that it can take very harsh battlefield conditions. The manufacturer has drowned it, shot it, crushed it, blown it up, and dropped from great heights. We won’t recommend going that far though but it will certainly take very harsh conditions when hiking, hunting, or doing some tactical stuff.

The manufacturer promises very fast charging time and 36 hours of power for mobile phones, 38 h for mobile GPS, 10 h for tablets, and 5 h for laptops. You shouldn’t trust these blindly though because it all depends on the weather conditions and the individual devices you want to charge. In extreme cold weather, for instance, it will be less than this.

The charger has both the USB-A and USB-C ports that are protected from the evils of the world under a sealed lid. Note that the lid needs to be closed for this thing to be waterproof. The product also features a small LED flashlight as well as the power level indicator.

USB-C cable included

The charger comes with a ballistic fiber reinforced USB-C cable, a durable cable managing strap, and the 5-in-1 Carabiner Pro. The cable is c. 1 m (3 ft) long, and its weak points in the neck and head have been reinforced. The cable-managing strap has strong snaps/buttons that keep the cable secure and close to your device.

The included carabiner has been upgraded into a multi-tool that has a knife, bottle opener, glass breaker, dual-head screwdriver in addition to a locking carabiner.
