We got a special shipment of Chinese army Chicom gear. The legend has it that these rare beauties came from a secret British SAS warehouse. Why did they have these in the first place, remains a mystery. The main thing is that we got them now, and soon you can have them if you act fast. This epic battle gear will disappear very quickly.
Features
Simple, durable, silent, low-profile, and packable. A few reasons why the Chicom chest rigs have been popular around the world. This 56 type SKS chest rig has ten equally sized pouches side by side, designed for the 7.62x39 caliber stripper clips of the semi-automatic SKS rifle. All the pouches are closed with wooden toggles. The adjustable shoulder straps cross each other at the back and the waist belt strings are tied together at the back. The distance from the tip of one of the belt strings to the tip of the other is c. 150 cm / 4' 11". If that ain’t enough, it is easy to add more string, and losing weight is apparently also trendy.
Condition
This is unissued Chinese military surplus forgotten in a dusty old warehouse. So, it is mostly in as good a condition as over 40 years old products can be. The colors can be a bit faded and the fabric a bit worn, and there might be some chalk dust on them, which can be cleaned. If anything but mint condition gives you anxiety, buy a Chinese copy of the Chinese original. But that won’t be nearly as cool as this.

The material is very tough, slightly stiff but in good condition as the description states. If you don't know, each pouch holds 1 clip in the same orientation as a magazine in a pouch, I was expecting the pouches to have some decent wiggle room but they're actually pretty skinny, you have to be careful not to let rounds get stripped off the clip while removing it from the pouch, to be fair my clips are rather loose, but chances are your's are too.
Seriously, these pouches are not generous with storage room, internal measurements come in at roughly 4" lid to bottom x 1.75" usable width x 1.125" usable girth, think of it like a cylinder with a half cut off length-wise. Of course, you could carry other extremely small items, such as loose rounds, an oil bottle, a rag/rags depending on size/thickness, magazines for small pistols like the Makarov and Tokarev, or MAYBE a box of cigarettes, I don't smoke but from what I've seen that may be pushing the limit.
If you're over 6'3" and have some belly on you, the shoulder straps may bring the rig too far up your chest or just not fit. At 5'10" it fits me well at the near-maximum strap adjustment. The apron string in the back is a whole other thing so I'll just say your mileage may vary.

The problem is the looseness of the clips, not the allowance of the pockets, I must postulate.
The rig itself is ridiculously comfortable. I am an unremarkable man at 5'7, broad chest, stocky as hell. The backstrap fits me just fine, but any idiot with some fabric, a needle + thread and 20 minutes could extend it.
Mine has stiffness to it, but it is canvas: beat the communist out of it and it will become ever so slightly softer. It is a high-quality, low-frill rig that will store a single clip per pouch and an oiler.
You really cannot do better for a compact rig, perfect for keeping Vietnam safe, and if you brace the rifle perfectly you will be able to load quickly.

Ostin tämän VZ.61 replikalle ja lippaat mahtuivat just ja just sekä öljypullo taskuun menee F-1 käsikranaatti suhteelisen hyvin.

This was so tight i could hardly get two loaded clips into one cell. To remedy this, I stuffed some pmags into the cells that could take them and let it stretch for a few days and that gave the extra bit of room needed to not have my rounds strip off whenever they were pulled.
Apron straps could be better, but that should just take some tailoring for a buckle or clipping device.
Past that, this will work just fine for your smaller items that arent much bigger than a pair of 10 round x39 stripper clips. Wooden toggles are secure and offer a silent and dependable alternative to bungie and velcro.
