This is quite similar to the old green rubber bag of the Cold War era, just a bit larger and covered with camouflaged Cordura. These are becoming rarer and rarer these days. The rubber closure is quite secure, and sort of fast to use too. They also made the shoulder strap detachable.

Size info

The dimensions are c. 34 x 30 x 20 cm (13.4” x 11.8” x 7.9”), but it's somewhat difficult to give accurate estimates about this kind of a floppy bag. There is a small c. 25 x 8 cm (10” x 3”) pouch inside the bag that has a snap fastener. Weight about 600 grams (1.3 lbs).

Condition

Genuine Bundeswehr military surplus. If these have been used, they haven't been used much. They all seem to be in pretty nice shape.

Much to my wife's dismay, I use this as a diaper bag. Unfortunately, the gas mask is not included, which would have come in handy during the diaper changing process. For more manly pursuits, this also doubles as my firing range bag. It holds pistols, ammunition, ear and eye protection just fine. The small internal pouch is large enough to fit one AR/M4 30 round magazine (or smaller), and it will also hold two Glock 17 magazines.

I bought one of these at an oldschool fleamarket in Berlin and it's quite incredible.
It's very watertight considering it's just a rolltop closure with a strap.

And to be frank, at this price everyone should own no less than 5. You'll find a use eventually.

Perfect edc bag.
I would expect to pay close to $100 for a bag of this quality at a shop.
The main features that drew me were its weatherproof build which is important living on Vancouver island. The simple yet brilliant opening system is something I have never seen before but is really effective. I dislike other designs that are either prone to failure or a hassle to open.
The attachment of the shoulder strap is smart and really robust that also adds to the ease of access while allowing the bag to sit nicely while being carried. Obviously, being Milspec the build quality is top notch with a flectarn cordura that is coated with an olive drab rubber on the inside.
The opening is a slight roll closure making it super accessable yet secure with the rubber strap/plastic knob system.
This is a smallish bag that I would guess is maybe 15L.
Condition is near new. Only some scrapes on the interior coating revealed usage.
I own what is considered the best of messenger bags by Pac. Great bag but at 42L its just too much for urban edc even when compressed, this is just right.
It sits just right at the hip and is so easily accessed, a huge handy convenience being able to carry stuff like headphones, smart phone, fixed blade, shemagh, vape, hand sani and a spare jacket and being able to grab whatever at the store. Its really so convenient. Love this thing.
Oh, and its german flectarn surplus, does it get more cool?

Pretty darn good for surplus. It was relatively clean when it arrived. In good shape with no holes. Washed it with soap and water anyway and let it sun dry. The inner lining is butyl rubber or something similar. Mine has the slight odour of riot control gas but only noticeable if you put your nose inside the bag. No mildew or mold. Uber nice camo pattern and unusual but very secure sling attachment system. Bag closure is also very nice and unusual. Can't beat this cavernous shoulder bag for the price. Just don't store your wife's white linens in here -- works for everything else.
