Brandit BW parka
A civilian model of the classic West German Bundeswehr parka. Thanks to the removeable liner jacket, the use is not restricted to cold weather only. Probably one of the best multi-season jackets there is. These are close to the quality of the originals, if not exactly the same.
The older Bundeswehr field jacket is essentially a hooded cotton parka with an excellent cut and a removeable fake fur liner jacket. The model is refreshingly old fashioned - no dedicated iPod pockets and mediaports, membranes or other hi-tech stuff. Instead, you'll find good practical solutions, like the heavy zipper, pockets with normal button closure and thick cotton material. If you're seeking a classic military parka, this is the archetype!
Sizes are given in centimetres, first up is user height, then chest circumference. If you use inches, divide the centimetre sizes by 2,54, or use our handy converter.
The model is 187 cm / 100 cm and wearing a Medium size jacket.

My only complaint on this is that it does tend to lose buttons, specifically on the sleeves. I've been lucky, found them every time, and sewn them back on, but I would recommend finding a stock of similar buttons and keeping them around. The buttons themselves are very solid, but it seems like the thread that holds them on breaks down pretty easily. Once those buttons are re-sewn with better thread, they seem to stay on without issue.
I would recommend one of these as long as you know how to sew, or don't mind dropping a small amount of money at a tailor shop to have the sleeve buttons resewn.
