An affordable folding pocket knife from a veteran German manufacturer.

Böker makes all kinds of blades - small, large, cheap, and expensive. This one here represents the small & cheap -line.

The Black Spear is a functional and simple folding knife, made entirely of metal. The blade is stainless steel and locks open. It can be opened either one-handed via a lifter knob, or two-handed if the knob is removed (the tool for this is included). Other features include a reasonably ergonomic grip, belt clip, and a glass breaker on the end of the hilt.

Total length opened 23 cm, blade length about 10 cm.

A bit rough around the edges but otherwise very solid. It also comes in a nice tin.

Knife is good but needs sharpening upon arrival. My only problem is that the hex tool that comes with it to remove the pocket clip just doesn't work

Itelläni ollu tää vehe varmaankin 4 vuotta käytössä, eikä ole ollut moksiskaan. Vaellus- ja metsästysreissuilla ollut pätevä kapistus. Jännä että jopa tetsatessa mudassa ja pakkasessa intissäkin on tämä hengissä pysyny!

Ainoa miinus on tuo sahalaitaosuus terän tyvessä, niin saatanan pieni että risuja vaan sillä sahaa. Meh, tuosta huolimatta suosittelen - kestävää kamaa!

Very solid knife. It could be littlebit sharper when it comes out of factory. Also it had some scratches in blade when i took it out of the box.

EDIT: Hexakey that comes with knife is too small to be used with knife. I wil give knife score of 4/5

Having read previous reviews, I awaited this knife with a whetstone, ready to put a proper edge onto the blade. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered I could happily shave with it out of the tin! (And I did!) On the downside, the hex/ Allen key doesn't fit any of the bolt heads on the knife, neither the belt clip nor thumb stud. Other than that, the best folding knife of that size for that money bar none, and a lot of knives that are twice the price would struggle against the quality of this knife. Superb.
