OK, we get it: most of our customers don't have a combat loadout and the mad ones who do probably wear that shit all the time - we know we do. Why this bag, then? Well, it looked to us like a very sleek duffel bag that can be packed and organized in ways you have hoped for but rarely seen.

You'd think a bag like this is too flat to be useful for other than specific purposes but it's actually a full 25 cm (10") thick and bulges out quite a bit if necessary. Fooling around, we were able to pack four (4!) large boxes measuring 40 x 33 x 13 cm (15.75" x 13" x 5") without breaking a sweat. These kinds of bulky objects are often problematic even if the numbers match.

The bag splits open by a long 2-way zipper that has eyelets for a small padlock. The front has an 18 x 14 cm (7" x 5.5") window pocket to show off your doodling or otherwise mark the bag as yours.

The shoulder straps can be stowed away and no external pouches - just three flat pockets on one side - so it's quite streamlined which helps loading and unloading it when moving around with vehicles.

In addition to the shoulder straps, the bag has a sturdy pair of padded carry handles. The webbing of the handles goes all the way down and around the bottom - you will never, ever tear them off.

Ordnung muss sein

Opening up this bag makes your face glow like Vincent Vega's when he looked into the suitcase. The insides of both sides are covered with webbing loops and there's a padded divider in the middle with similar loops on both sides.

The dimensions of the webbing ladder loops are PALS-compatible but scaled up as follows:

• Webbing width: 51 mm / 2"
• Space between webbing: 76 mm / 3"
• Space between trenches: 95 mm / 3.75"

The webbing allows you to quickly attach and remove MOLLE pouches or fasten anything else you might want to keep steady and available.

The divider is secured with three snap-fastener tabs and the closed-cell padding is removable.

These were made by Blackhawk for the UKSF. The items have been used but are in a good condition, pros take good care of their equipment and the quality was high to begin with. Made in Vietnam.
