Now here’s something extremely cool! A very high-quality Gore-Tex hardshell jacket of the US military. Waterproof and windproof combat gear. So, also appropriate for all lovely rainy and windy adventures. Put this on top of everything when the sky falls and the heavens weep. Unissued military surplus. Available in Coyote Brown. Made in the USA. In stores, these would cost at least double except that you cannot find these anywhere because they are custom gear made for special forces.

Protective Combat Uniform (PCU)

This jacket is part of the US Protective Combat Uniform (PCU) system that came to be in 2002. The PCU system is divided into seven layers that are combined with each other to protect against various weather conditions. The basic philosophy is that air trapped between layers of clothing will create the best form of insulation. It is not necessary to wear all seven layers at the same time. You pick and choose those that you need.

Level 6 (L6) includes the hardshell jacket and pants. They go on top of everything in rainy, sleety, shitty weather. Underneath you can add other layers depending on how cold it is.

This lightweight and packable Gore-Tex jacket is designed for highly aerobic activities. It is made by laminating multiple layers of Gore-Tex, providing the thinnest layer and maximum strength. The result is a breathable, lightweight jacket that provides durable waterproof and windproof protection with improved next-to-skin comfort. Well, as breathable as a hardshell can be. It reduces the build-up of underlayer condensation during and after periods of high-intensity activity.

This jacket is made from 100% Nylon and it has a genuine Gore-Tex membrane.

Size info

You can get any size you want, as long as it is X-Large. And there are twice as many length options, both Regular and Long. Sizing is quite ample because you are supposed to put this on top of your other clothes. So, if you normally wear XL and want to be nekkid under this, it will be a tent.

Condition

Unissued US military surplus. These haven’t seen any wars or exercises, just some huge ass warehouse. So they are in very good condition. Beyond makes some of their stuff in some galaxy far, far away. However, these jackets are made in the land of the free and would cost craploads normally.
