This Belgian army tent is actually a nifty and modern dome tent. Made of lightweight and strong materials, pitches in a smart way, and features aluminum poles to make field repairs possible.
A dome tent is especially convenient for casual use because it stands on its own without guylines. These can be added in case the winds blow but in fair weather, it's up to you.
Features
The structure is an outer tent tensioned over two crossed aluminum poles and a transverse extra pole to increase vestibule space. The poles are retained with loops and toggles rather than long tunnels. The long sides feature symmetric entrances and vestibules.
The inner tent has full-size doors with mosquito nets and both the inner and outer doors can be rolled to the sides for unrestricted ventilation. The roof has three elastic loops for drying your base layer shirt or hanging a lantern, for example.
The fabrics are rather dense so if you have a habit of waking up in a brightly lit tent, you'll like this one.
The flysheet is made from ripstop nylon with a Jigsaw camo pattern. It used to be waterproof for sure but is likely to require some maintenance such as sewing, taping, and treating with waterproofers, if you're after perfect waterproofness.
The stakes are rolled from steel and suitable for a variety of surfaces. The ends have nice flat spots and the don't weigh a ton. Some deformation is to be expected but these can be straightened fairly easily.

Dimensions and weights
The size is big enough for two persons when you leave the packs in the vestibules, or a comfortable size for one. The length is a bit shorter than usual, some bending at the knees may be necessary if you're taller than 190 cm / 6' 2".

Belgian army surplus
Made by Wilford Industry. These have been used by soldiers in the field. Stakes may need some straightening, elastics may be worn and you should also prepare to patch pinholes in the flysheet. However, everything is in one piece and serviceable.
The maintenance pays off: this high-quality tent will prove to be a solid companion on your trips for a long time to come.

Unique way of putting it together -- tent poles tuck into the rain fly. Found it easiest to build the rain fly and poles upside down like a bowl then clipping the tent inside, then flipping the whole thing over.

1. Unfold flysheet (Turn upside down on ground)
2. Assemble the elements forming the arch (assemble aluminum poles)
3. Place the longest poles diagonally in relation to each other, in the same color poles of the outer tent. Then fasten the flysheet to the poles with the eight (8) closing systems (elastic) and tie to the arches.
4. Place the shortest pole in its sleeves on the left and right, gather the three poles in the ridge of the outer tent, using the provided locking system. (With everything still upside down, put the long poles into their sleeves, basically creating a big bowl. The color coding is black to black, silver to silver. I found this step required considerable force to get the long poles into place.)
5. Hang the inner tent on the arch elements with the clips and the hook on the four corners. (I performed this step with everything still upside down, then when completed I flipped over and moved to desired location)
6. Put the tent in the right place (carry the tent) and orient it correctly to the point of view of the wind, and if necessary according to the tactical situation.
7. Placing the pegs
A. Thru the loop of the 4 corner rings
B. Thru the loops (elastic bands) on the two sides
C. Thru the loop of the hatches of the porch
D. Possibly to secure storm ropes
