You should always carry more than one officially approved reflector that fulfills the EN 13356 standard. Also, when it comes to reflectors, one is better than zero, but you should carry a bunch of these. It’s best to purchase at least two and hang them from your arm and at knee height.

different styles

If you’re looking for Finnish design reflectors, we have certified reflectors in different shapes designed in-house, with new ones added from time to time. Those outdoorsy folks wishing to channel their enthusiasm for nature will probably enjoy our camping and animal-themed reflectors. If you don’t find your totem animal from our line of animal-shaped reflectors, you can opt for a cozy hand grenade or something else from our military-themed reflectors. In the Finnish Defence Forces, there is a game loved by all recruits called “who can carry the most at-mines?” You can now try a similar activity by seeing how many of our mine-shaped reflectors you can hang from your coat. Unfortunately, you’ll have to imagine the sweat and tears yourself.

just slap it on

Those who dislike traditional dangly reflectors should check out the Estecs slap wraps. They come in yellow and white and are easy to slap on to any body part (yes, even there, although it won’t be visible unless you wear nothing down there like a certain cartoon duck). It is a good idea to carry a couple of these in your pack or pocket and slap them on once the sun starts going down. If you’re squeamish about wearing reflectors or just don’t feel like they fit your style, then you can attach a hook & loop reflective patch to any suitable surface. Many of our clothes and jackets have a loop side patch on the arm and many backpacks do as well. These patches are not official reflectors as they don’t fulfill the safety standards but are still a whole lot better than nothing. Our suggestion is that you use them in conjunction with official reflectors.
