Best sellers of 2018

Folks sometimes ask us, which are the most popular products we sell. No need to hide these gems so here goes: the Top-Ten best of 2018!

The chart isn't simply a list of the items that sold most units, because it would skew the results in favour of cheap and consumable items. So we added the unit price as a multiplier, and the result looks pretty balanced to us. We had to hide one very common tool people carry with them in the outdoors because online platforms hate that kind of stuff.

Our house brands do glaringly well and it's a deliberate move by us. As we predicted in our Top Ten post one year ago, the then-new Särmä Large Assault Pack has made its way to this list.

Addendum and non-apology 08. JAN 2019

Some people suspected that the list is falsified because we used the price-multiplier and the list shows a lot of our own brands. Our understanding of economics is that sold pcs * sale price = turnover, which is a realistic meter for success of a product, but who are we to say?

Let it be publicly stated (again) that increasing Varusteleka's house brand sales is one of our goals and by the looks of it things are going really well! Another important product range for us is surplus. We're working hard on that as well.

No other manipulation of the Top Ten list was made, except for leaving out some Terävä brand tools.
